A man in Australia was recently arrested for having a collection of 3700 number plates in his possession. Australian law deems that number plates must be attached to a vehicle or else returned to the attorney general. He said he had found most of the plates by the roadside and was not aware of the law concerned. Upon checking the police have found that some of the plates were reported stolen some time ago.
